Vol. 434 No. 2

Written Answers. - CEDP Eligibility.

Tony Gregory

Question:

200 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the assistance, if any, his Department can give to resolve the problem suffered by a group (details supplied).

The issue raised by the Deputy concerns the eligibility conditions for the Community Employment Development Programme (CEDP) and the fact that some travellers are not eligible to participate in the Programme on the basis of the existing conditions.

The eligibility conditions of the CEDP and the other employment schemes administered under the aegis of my Department by FAS are currently under review and the difficulty raised by the Deputy will be taken on board in that review.
