Vol. 434 No. 2

Written Answers. - Fermoy (Cork) Water Scheme.

Paul Bradford

Question:

232 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment the reason he has refused to meet the members of Fermoy Urban District Council, County Cork, to discuss the necessary improvement works to the Fermoy water scheme.

I met a deputation from Fermoy UDC in connection with this scheme in October 1992. The proposed scheme, together with the further information received in my Department since that meeting, is being considered for inclusion in the water and sanitary services programme in the post-1993 period. I do not consider that a further meeting is required at this stage.
