Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Dermot Ahern — the need for a new school premises at Scoil Chríost Rí, Dundalk, County Louth; (2) Deputy Connaughton — the question of upgrading the status of the N63 road, County Galway, from Loughgeorge Junction to Roscommon; (3) Deputy Rabbitte — the proposed restoration of export credit insurance cover for beef exports to Iran; (4) Deputy Creed — the public declaration by Macroom UCD that the town water supply is unfit for human consumption; and the failure of the Department of the Environment to sanction approval for a new town water supply scheme; (5) Deputy Jim Higgins — the need to make a place available in Cregg House, County Sligo, for a person (details supplied) who urgently needs residential care. (6) Deputy Gilmore — the industrial dispute involving ambulance drivers employed by the Eastern Health Board which has led to serious disruption of ambulance services; and the need for intervention to secure an early end to the dispute and a return to work; (7) Deputy McManus — the need for funds for the provision of front gardens for the residents of Oldcourt Estate, Bray, County Wicklow, in view of the willingness of the residents to participate in the provision of front gardens in line with the Minister for the Environment's directive on estate management; (8) Deputy Durkan — the need to provide extra facilities at Hewetson school, Sallins, County Kildare; and the delays to date in progressing the matter; (9) Deputy Gregory — the fact that not one girl from the Cabra national school, Dublin 7, was accepted for entry to the convent secondary school in Cabra in 1993, while girls from outside Cabra obtained places; (10) Deputy Boylan — the grant-aid, if any, available to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan who has to repeat first year at university for medical reasons.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies Jim Higgins, Gregory, Boylan and Rabbitte.
