146 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a final decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Cork, concerning the amount of compensation payable to him under EC Council Regulation No. 2187/93.
The EC Regulations governing the payment of SLOM compensation set four months from receipt of application, or 31 January 1994 at the latest, as the deadline for the issuing of an offer to eligible applicants. My Department is at present carrying out a detailed assessment of each application received, of which there are approximately 1,600, and will make an offer to all eligible producers, as soon as possible within the prescribed period.
