Vol. 434 No. 6

Written Answers. - St. Patrick's Institution, Dublin.

Tony Gregory

Question:

86 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if the low gate at the side of St. Patrick's Institution near Blacquiere Villas, Dublin 7 can be replaced by a high gate and fence, similar in height to the adjoining carpark fence, between the prison wall and the carpark fence as detailed in a petition from the Berkeley Road Neighbourhood Watch Committee which was sent to her in August 1993.

I have received the petition referred to by the Deputy and an acknowledgment has issued. My Department is currently examining the matter and a further communication to the committee will issue in due course.
