Vol. 434 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

124 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she will provide an extra school bus to accommodate children who have no school transport at the moment from the Moyvane area, Listowel, County Kerry who are attending post-primary schools in Listowel.

Because this is the first enquiry that either my Department, or Bus Éireann, which operates the scheme on my behalf, has had on this matter, I am not in a position at this stage to answer the Deputy's question.

If the Deputy would supply the name and address of each of the pupils involved, I will have the matter investigated. The outcome will be conveyed to the Deputy as soon as possible.
