Question:54 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Finance the total amount of EC funding allocated in the National Development Plan 1994-1999 to his Department for various projects.

The only expenditure under the National Development Plan 1994-1999 which my Department administers is in respect of technical assistance at Community Support Framework level. The plan provides for total expenditure of £8 million on technical assistance of which the EC aid element will be £6 million.
My Department may also have responsibility for administering some measure or measures under Community initiative programmes. At this stage only a global provision is included in the plan for Community initiatives and definitive allocations of this provision between specific measures have yet to be made.
