Vol. 435 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions Written Answers. - Garda Pensions.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

33 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Justice the progress, if any, she has made in relation to the acceptance of allowances for pension purposes for the Garda Síochána; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Pensionability of unsocial hours allowances is the subject of proceedings before the Conciliation Council established under the Garda Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme. The proceedings of the Council are confidential and it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the matter.
