41 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment if there are grants available from his Department to support the recycling strategy for Ireland as published by his Department; and, if so, the payments made to date under this scheme.
Wexford): I refer to the reply to Question No. 155 of 20 October 1993. Since 1989 my Department has operated a scheme of grant assistance for relatively smallscale projects based on collection, sorting and transportation of recovered materials for recycling. A total of some £1.6 million has so far been paid or allocated under the scheme.
