Question:

90 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health if a sum of nine million pounds is due and owing by his Department to the Mater Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As at 31 October 1993 there was a sum of £1.851 million due to the Mater Hospital in respect of net approved expenditure to the end of 1992. A sum of £6.286 million has already been paid during 1993 in respect of approved expenditure for prior years.
