15 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if the issue of equality in science and technology will form an integral part of the review group's recommendations and the subsequent White Paper on science; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
It may be premature at this stage before the S&T Review Group has actually been launched to speculate about what will or will not form an integral part of its recommendations. However, I can say that in so far as the development of science and technology may be retarded by a lack of equality, I will ask the group to examine this.
