Vol. 435 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Written Answers. - Galway School Project.

Robert Molloy

Question:

43 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education the position regarding the provision of school premises for the Galway school project.

Generally my Department is prepared to grant provisional recognition to multi-denominational schools provided a number of conditions are met. One of these conditions is that the promoters of the school secure a suitable premises for the school that will meet its requirements during the period of provisional recognition.

In the case of the proposed Galway school project, while the onus is on the promoters to obtain a suitable premises, I have asked my Department's inspectors to assist in identifying suitable accommodation.
