Vol. 435 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions Written Answers. - Land Registry Application.

John O'Leary

Question:

4 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay on the part of the Land Registry in completing a dealing to provide title for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the dealing referred to in the question is an application for first registration based on possession.

In a letter dated 30 September 1993 the solicitors acting for the applicant sought to increase the extent of the property over which ownership was claimed. The solicitors were informed on 3 November 1993 that a separate application should be presented in respect of the additional property and the Land Registry is awaiting their response.
