Question:21 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Health if he has received a copy of the Southern Health Board Public Analyst's report; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A copy of the report was forwarded to my Department by the Southern Health Board.
Proposals from the Eastern, Southern and Western Health Boards for development of the public analyst laboratories in Dublin, Cork and Galway are being examined in my Department at present.
Some funding for additional staff and equipment for the public analyst laboratory in Cork has already been approved and a proposal for renovation and expansion of the laboratory building there is currently being assessed.
