Vol. 435 No. 9

Written Answers. - Restoration of Building Cost.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

130 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Finance if he will give a breakdown of the labour and material cost involved in the restoration by the Office of Public Works of 14 Hume Street during the year 1992.

The cost of directly employed Office of Public Works staff and associated materials involved in the works carried out to No. 14 Hume Street in 1992 can be broken down as follows:

£

OPW labour

94,973.34

Associated materials

22,759.22

The figure for Office of Public Works labour is made up of the wages of the local central building maintenance workshop crew who carried out this work as part of their normal duties. Accordingly, there was no additional cost to the State in the use of this crew at 14 Hume Street.
