Charles Flanagan

Question:

135 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the number of promotions within his Department to the posts of Executive Officer, Staff Officer and Clerical Officer for each of the years from 1988 to date in 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am assuming that the Deputy is referring only to direct internal promotions. The following table shows the information, in so far as my Department is concerned, for each of the years requested:

I would like to point out that the figures above include, at Staff Officer level, the grade of Staff Officer/Senior Programmer and at Executive Officer level, the grades of Executive Officer/Shift Leader and Executive Officer/Junior Systems Analyst.
The information for the offices under my Department's aegis is as follows:

There has only been one promotion to Clerical Officer in 1992.
