Question:

57 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education if a student's holiday earnings, week-end earnings or evening earnings are calculable from the point of view of eligibility for a higher education grant; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 32, 45 and 57 together.

Under the terms of the third level student support schemes holiday earnings of the candidates are not taken into account for the purpose of determining eligibility for grant support.

All other earnings including week-end and evening earnings of the candidate are included for means assessment purposes.
