Question:

108 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance if his Department has been responsible for commissioning reports and/or inquiries over the past five years; if so, the nature and number of these; their cost; the number published or awaiting publication.

In so far as the Offices, (with the exception of the Office of Public Works), which operate under the aegis of my Department are concerned no reports other than those concerned with internal organisation and internal audit reports have been commissioned in the last five years.

I have set out on the attached table the reports which have been commissioned by my Department and by the Office of Public Works.

Details of research projects commissioned by the Committee for Administrative Research for my Department are listed separately. Unfortunately, details of the individual costs of each of these reports are not readily available but I have indicated the overall expenditure for each of the years in question.
