Vol. 436 No. 3

Written Answers. - Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

110 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Health if he will have early discussions with junior hospital doctors to examine the longstanding problem of the length of those doctors' working week, especially in view of recent EU social directives.

I have already indicated my willingness to meet representatives of non-consultant hospital doctors to discuss the length of their working week. I hope to be able to arrange such a meeting in the near future.
