Question:174 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment when the necessary finance will be made available to improve the inadequate public lighting system at Castlecomer, County Kilkenny.

Arising from a submission earlier this month, Kilkenny County Council have been asked to prioritise all outstanding proposals for traffic route lighting on national roads in the county, including a proposal relating to Castlecomer. Funding for the various schemes will be considered in the light of the council's response and the overall level of funding available in 1994.
