Question:

200 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number and name of each Euro-funded scheme now available to farmers; the area each scheme covers; and the year each scheme was introduced.

Details as requested are set out in the following statement.

The Department has a number of booklets which give further details namely Schemes and Services 1993 and CAP Reform Information Series which are available from the local offices of the Department, from Teagasc offices or from the Information Division of the Department.

* Extensification Premium is not a scheme as such but is a top-up premium on Special Beef and Suckler Cow Premia which will be paid automatically to applicants who comply with a specific stocking density.
