Question:161 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health the number of persons suffering from syringomyelia in the State and in each health board area.

I wish to inform the Deputy that information on this matter is not collected on a routine basis by my Department. I am, of course, concerned that anyone who may be suffering from syringomyelia would seek medical advice as soon as possible.
