Question:47 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Marine if finance will be provided in his Department's 1994 Estimates for the extension and improvement of Ahakista Pier, Bantry, County Cork.
I propose answering Questions Nos. 37 and 47 together.
The Estimates for the Department of the Marine's expenditure in 1994 remain to be settled. In addition, the operational programme to enable EC Structural Funds for development works at fishery harbours remains to be agreed with the Commission of the European Communities. Pending completion of these exercises, I am not in a position to indicate the possible expenditure position in 1994.
