186 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the extent to which he expects employment in the milk and dairy sector to expand over the next five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Development measures for the food industry as a whole are currently being drawn up in my Department in the light of the report of the Expert Group on the Food Industry. It is not possible, therefore, to provide reliable estimates of employment over the next five years for particular sectors at this stage.
