69 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Marine if, under the operational programmes arising out of the National Development Plan, 1994/1999, for his Department, works on Duncannon Pier in County Wexford will be included; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The inclusion or otherwise of any particular harbour development projects in an Operation Programme remains to be agreed with the Commission of the European Communities. Until such agreement is reached I am not in a position to detail what works, if any, may be carried out at Duncannon.
