Vol. 437 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hairdresser-Cosmetologist Operation Requirements.

Jim Higgins

Question:

85 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if there is any provision which requires a person operating as a hairdresser or cosmetologist in this country to be the holder of a licence in order to do so.

There is no requirement arising in my area of responsibility that a person wishing to operate in the State as a hairdresser should hold a licence. I have no function in regard to cosmetologists.
