91 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction the tenders for the flood protection scheme in Bray, County Wicklow, in view of the urgency of the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Contract documents for the second stage of the River Dargle flood protection scheme are under consideration in my Department; the scheme has not yet advanced to tender stage. The question of funding for this scheme is being examined at present in the context of the post-1993 Operational Programme for Environmental Services.
