Vol. 437 No. 3

Written Answers. - Storm Damage.

Robert Molloy

Question:

88 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his attention has been drawn to the extensive damage suffered by some people in the horticulture industry during the severe storms of the 8/9 December; if he will establish a special compensation fund to aid their assistance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that some people in the horticulture industry have been adversely affected by the severe weather of 8-9 December. However there are no funds available to my Department out of which assistance could be provided.
