Question:90 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when documentation will be returned to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The herd in question was restricted in June 1993 following the disclosure of 11 reactor animals. The retest was carried out in September 1993 and was clear. The second retest took place in November 1993 at which three inconclusive animals were disclosed. For this reason and because of the level of active infection detected at the initial test it is considered in the best interests of the health of the herd to carry out a further test before considering derestriction.
