Vol. 437 No. 4

Written Answers. - Celbridge (Kildare) Health Centre.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

182 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health whether he has satisfied himself that sufficient funds will be available to the Eastern Health Board to facilitate the provision of adequate health centre facilities at Celbridge, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that a new health centre is needed to serve the Celbridge area. The provision of a new health centre in Celbridge is on the Eastern Health Board's priority list. However having regard to the limited capital funds available I am not in a position at present to say when work on the new health centre is likely to commence. I am keeping the situation under review.
