586 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education the reason textbooks which are brailled at Arbour Hill Prison for visually impaired children are not being supplied on time to these children; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I am aware of the difficulty to which the Deputy refers.
My Department is currently in contact with the Department of Justice, who have responsibility for activities conducted in Arbour Hill Prison, in an effort to address this issue. I will advise the Deputy of the outcome as soon as possible.
