Question:85 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if full financial provision has been made for replacing all the windows in Mary Aikenhead House, Dublin 8 in 1994.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 84 and 85 together.
An amount of £3 million was provided, on a once-off basis, in the budget as a contribution towards the cost of replacing substandard windows in large local authority flat complexes. Allocations from the provision will be notified, as soon as possible, to the individual local authorities concerned, who will then be responsible for determining the flats in which work will be undertaken.
