The Department has recently sanctioned grant-aid for improvement works at the school in question and they should shortly be put in hand.

Question:304 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education when necessary repair and maintenance work will be carried out at a school (details supplied) in County Limerick.
I am happy to tell the Deputy that the Department has recently sanctioned grant-aid for toilet improvement works at the school in question. In addition, the Department is currently awaiting a technical report on the school's heating problems. When this is received and considered a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities.
