Written Answers. - Recycling of Waste.
Wexford): As stated in reply to a number of recent parliamentary questions, I intend that the national recycling strategy, which is at an advanced stage of preparation, will address waste recycling requirements in a comprehensive way.
My Department conducted a major conference on recycling in December 1993 as a final part of the consultative process for this strategy. In my address to that conference, which I am copying for the Deputy, I dealt with a wide range of requirements relevant to increasing Irish recycling levels. The national strategy will specify these requirements, and the means of implementing them, more fully.
