Question:146 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the placing of rumble strips on public roadways.
Written Answers. - Road Rumble Strips.
Rumble strips have been provided by road authorities at a number of locations on public roads on an experimental basis with the authorisation of my Department. The Road Traffic Bill 1993 which is currently before the Oireachtas, contains a provision which will empower road authorities to provide a range of traffic calming measures, including rumble strips, on public roads.
