208 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his attention has been drawn to concerns being expressed at the conditions existing for young people training in equestrian centres; and if he intends to regulate this sector and ensure that proper standards and protection for participants are in place.

I have no statutory function in relation to the regulation of proper standards and protection for young people training in equestrian centres.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply by the Minister for Education, Deputy Niamh Bhreathnach, on 27 October 1993 to a question by the Deputy.
