Question:29 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the number of schools now taking part in the artists in residence in schools scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This scheme is administered by An Chomhairle Ealaíon which enjoys statutory independence in the disbursal of its funds. I have been informed by An Chomhairle that there are at persent 17 schools participating in the artist in residence in schools scheme.
