Question:

79 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number of persons registered as unemployed in Killarney, County Kerry on the latest date for which figures are available with previous work experience in the areas of craft, tourism, manufacturing, agri-business, retail, health and leisure, civil service and teaching; and the number with educational qualifications by way of degree, diploma, cert, a trade, leaving certificate and skilled, semi-skilled.

Area analysis of the live register is published by the CSO on a monthly basis. According to its publication of 10 February, 1994, the total number of people on the live register at the Killarney local office on 28th January, 1994 was 1,760.

Data as to work experience and educational qualifications on the lines requested by the Deputy are not available.
