Question:142 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the amount of grant sanctioned in respect of the erection of a new toilet block at Sylane national school, Tuam, County Galway.

It has not been the practice to disclose details of grants sanctioned or paid to individual school authorities.
I am, however, pleased to state that the physical planning of the new toilet block is being progressed with the assistance of my Department's local professional advisers who have provided the school authorities with the necessary drawings to enable them to seek planning permission for the project.
