Vol. 440 No. 1

Written Answers. - Coolock (Dublin) Law Centre.

Ivor Callely

Question:

24 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Social Welfare the funding provided by the State for the Coolock law centre over the past five years.

Funding for the Coolock Community Law Centre has been provided by the Combat Poverty Agency over the past five years. In 1989 funding was £66,000. Funding of £70,000 was provided for each of the years 1990, 1991 and 1992. In 1992 also a special once-off grant of £50,000 was made by my Department to the centre. In 1993 the centre received £100,000 from the agency and also received a £2,000 grant from my Department under the scheme of once-off grants to voluntary organisations. Funding of £100,000 is also being provided in 1994.
