95 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence , in respect of the FCÁ and Slua Muirí, the effective strength of both individual forces at 31 January for each of the years from 1989 to 1993; the total number which were classified as non-effective in each of the years 1989 to 1992; the number which were recruited, by command and corps, in each of the years 1989 to 1992; the number recruited in January 1992 and January 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The information requested regarding the number of personnel recruited in the FCÁ and Slua Muirí, by Command and Corps, in each of the years 1989 to 1992 is not readily available but is being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible. The remainder of the information sought is set out below.
