Question:234 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been refused sheep quota.
Written Answers. - Ewe Premium Quota.
The person named does not qualify for ewe premium reserve quota because the quota already allocated to him is greater than the number of ewes on which he applied for premium under the 1993 ewe premium scheme.
He has already been allocated a quota of 25 premium rights based on the number of ewes on which he was paid premium under the 1991 ewe premium scheme. He only applied for premium on 16 ewes in 1993.
