Vol. 440 No. 6

Written Answers. - Registration of Titles Backlog.

P. J. Sheehan

Question:

59 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry where responsibility lies for correspondence directed to the various sections of the Land Commission Offices; and if his attention has been drawn to the backlog of applications for registration of titles of Land Commission land allocated to farmers throughout the country in recent years.

I am aware of the fact that there are a considerable number of individuals still waiting for title to land allocated by the Land Commission and I can assure the Deputy that every effort is being made, within the limited staff resources available, to ensure that all allottees will be vested at the earliest possible date.
