Some inquiries have been received recently concerning possible partnership arrangements for the Whitegate oil refinery. Preliminary negotiations have taken place with one potential investor on a joint venture proposal for a major upgrade of the refinery but these negotiations are still at an early stage. For reasons of commercial confidentiality it would not be appropriate to release further details of any approach at this stage. I will of course make an announcement if and when a deal is concluded.
