Vol. 440 No. 8

Written Answers. - Motor Taxation Revenue.

Jim Higgins

Question:

52 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for the Environment the revenue which was transmitted to his Department in respect of each local authority for motor taxation for each of the years 1990 to 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Receipts from motor taxation collected by each licensing authority are transferred, via their local bank, to the Central Motor Account and, in turn, transferred to the Exchequer. Details of motor tax receipts collected by the 29 licensing authorities for the years concerned are set out in the reply to Question No. 71 on 2 February, 1994.
