Vol. 441 No. 3

Written Answers - Home Help Service.

Bernard Allen

Question:

176 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he proposes State supplied home help for the first eight weeks following the birth of twins and other multiple births.

The provision of a home help service is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board subject to any directions that I may make. Each application for a home help is carefully and sympathetically examined on its individual merits and I am informed that in general the present arrangements are working well.
