Vol. 441 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dalkey (Dublin) School.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

26 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education the reason St. Patricks Primary School, Dalkey, County Dublin, has not received a response to its application for additional school facilities; the progress that has been made on this application; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Helen Keogh

Question:

201 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in dealing with a request for assistance from St. Patrick's School, Harbour Road, Dalkey, County Dublin.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 26 and 201 together.

My Department has been in correspondence with the authorities of St. Patrick's Primary School, Dalkey in relation to their application for additional accommodation and the case has been under examination by my Department's professional advisers. I understand that the school authorities are now proposing alterations to their original proposals and these will need to be considered before a decision can be taken on the future development of the school.
