Question:81 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment when a register of landlords will be available; and where local authorities currently have lists of landlords if the information therein is publicly available.

The question of introducing a system of registration of all rented dwellings is under consideration. Landlords of formerly rent controlled dwellings are required to register the tenancies with the local authority who keep a register for this purpose and are required to make it available for public inspection.
