Question:

73 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Finance if the civil servants who are agricultural officers holding position ranging from SAO to AO are entitled to be candidates in local elections without being in conflict with their duties as civil servants; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Members of the grades of agricultural officer, higher agricultural officer and supervisory agricultural officer are ineligible to contest local elections.
