Vol. 442 No. 4

Written Answers. - Inchicore and Kilmainham (Dublin) Community Facility.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

72 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice if she will meet a deputation of residents from the Inchicore and Kilmainham areas of Dublin regarding the proposed community facility on a site at the junction of Old Kilmainham/South Circular Road/Emmet Road, Dublin 8 to enable them to learn specific details of the proposal and allow them to convey their views and objections to the proposal.

The Probation and Welfare Service of my Department will have a full consultations with representatives of the local residents about the development of this site. As I indicated to the Deputy in response to a question in April, the site is intended for a community facility under the aegis of the Probation and Welfare Service. I know that the Deputy, as a former Minister for Justice, appreciates the urgent need for such developments and the importance of encouraging the goodwill of local communities for them.
